1996 to present -- Director of family effort to establish a Thomas and Evelyn Orme Learning Center on Grandale Farm in honor of my parents.
1988 to present (teaching not continuous)-- Self-Employed. Sole-proprietor, Consultant Services in Biotechnology. Toxicologist for the New York Blood Center. Part-time instructor in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Part-time positions at Shepherd College and Northern Virginia Community College. Primary source of income is consulting work in toxicological and pharmaceutical information.
1984-1988 -- Served the Blood Derivatives Program of the New York Blood Center at manufacturing facility in Melville, NY. Managed the Chemistry Quality Control Lab. Promoted to Assistant Director of Quality Control, Associate Director of Plasma Processing, and Associate Director of Process Chemistry. Named Co-Inventor in patent of process to inactivate viruses contaminating blood products.
1981-1983 -- Established a technical writing business to support pharmaceutical companies submitting toxicological data to the FDA.
